GOK receives DCC Engineering Award

On the occasion of the travel fair Touristik & Caravaning in Leipzig, the German Camping Club DCC presented the Engineering Award 2022 to GOK.

The jury gave the award to the patented new development of the crash sensor with pendulum function. In order to make it onto the shortlist for the award, products must meet certain requirements: They must be practical and easy to handle, exactly as a technical innovation should be. The aim, in short, is to make the lives of campers easier.

The crash sensor with pendulum technique for the gas regulation devices Caramatic DriveOne and DriveTwo complies with the criteria and was therefore given the award by the DCC. DCC Honorary President Andreas Jörn and Caravan & Motorcaravan Consultant Uwe Hoffart handed over the Engineering Award to GOK on the main stage of the fair.

Background info
The crash sensor with pendulum is a safety device in GOK gas pressure regulation devices. Thanks to the crash sensor, LPG systems in leisure vehicles may be operated also while driving, for example in order to heat motorhomes or caravans. In 2021, GOK presented the newly developed and patented pendulum technology as operating principle of the crash sensor.
