The Caramatic SafeDrive: a compact pressure regulation system
Visitors to the GOK booth at the Caravan Salon trade fair will be able to experience the new Caramatic SafeDrive: the latest models in the series significantly simplify the handling of LPG in leisure vehicles

Marktbreit, 10/07/2024GOK is to present its Caramatic SafeDrive products to a broad public audience at the Caravan Salon for the first time. The compact pressure regulation system with crash sensor for leisure vehicles has attracted a great deal of interest since its launch this spring, and both retailers and end consumers are enthusiastically embracing the new system. The fact that the system can be installed by the operator has proven especially convincing as an argument in favour of purchase. Both models, for single and two-cylinder systems, are screwed directly onto the gas cylinder. And thanks to the crash sensor, the cylinder can remain open at all times, also while driving.

With its Caramatic SafeDrive range launched by the specialist for fittings and regulators from Lower Franconia, Germany in the spring, GOK has demonstrated that gas supply in leisure vehicles can also be easy. For the first time ever, the company will be presenting its SafeDrive and SafeDrive PLUS models at the Caravan Salon trade fair. Volker Lang, Head of Marketing at GOK: “We are expecting considerable interest from the well informed and knowledgeable visitors to the Caravan Salon, especially since a large number of systems are already in use and have passed their practical tests in the best possible way. The fact that the operator can install the Caramatic SafeDrive themselves has been especially well received, something which can usually be done in a few simple steps.”

Compact and uncomplicated
The basic functioning of the Caramatic SafeDrive corresponds to comparable models with a crash sensor. It ensures the correct gas pressure on the consumer equipment, and the integrated crash sensor enables connected LPG systems to be supplied while driving. This means that the gas cylinder can remain open all the time. And the compact new design means retrofitting and installation are far easier than they are with conventional models.

Filters and excess flow devices no longer necessary
As the system is situated directly on the gas cylinder, the previously obligatory gas filters and excess flow devices are no longer necessary. This not only saves costs, but also weight and space in the gas cylinder case and makes the installation much more flexible. Volker Lang explains: “The position of the crash sensor directly on the cylinder protects the entire pipe system. Dirt particles can’t find their way in.”

To suit different requirements, the Caramatic SafeDrive systems are available for single-cylinder systems and the Caramatic SafeDrive PLUS for two-cylinder systems. The system also features a remote display for two-cylinder systems to round off the offer, the Caramatic Basic Control. This enables campers to keep an eye on which gas cylinder is being used at all times, and means they can conveniently determine when the gas cylinder finally needs to be replaced from inside their vehicle.
