Following a transitional period, the United Kingdom (UK) has not been a member of the European Union since 1 January 2021 and is therefore no longer part of the EU internal market and customs union.
A CE marking, the usual mark with which the manufacturer confirmed that they comply with the applicable EU regulations, was usually sufficient for import into the UK.
As a result of the withdrawal of England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland, it is no longer sufficient for manufacturers and distributors to label their products with the CE mark. A separate mark is now required called the UKCA marking. However, the UKCA marking is only required for products that had to carry a CE marking before.
UKCA stands for UK Conformity Assessed and requires its own certification. GOK has submitted the relevant products to this additional certification and may also sell the correspondingly marked products to the UK after 1 January 2025 – this is the deadline from when products must carry the UKCA marking.
Which GOK products are marked with UKCA?
There would not be enough room here for a list of the products. You will find the UKCA logo next to the product images for all those products that are certified accordingly on our website and in the newly published product documents. We have also incorporated a note on UKCA under the “Conformity” tab.
