GOK helps with renovation of church building

„Do something good in your local community” has been for many years already the motto of GOK, the Marktbreit manufacturer of regulators. This year the Protestant church community of Marktbreit benefits from the charitable commitment. Company owner Dieter Kleine and Managing Director Gerald Unger handed over a symbolic donation check worth 10,000 euros to the grateful recipients, Pastor Michael Bausenwein (pastor deputy for Marktbreit) and Manfred Friedlein from the church council of the community.

The donation will be used for the renovation and restoration of the St. Nikolai church in Marktbreit: For some time the plaster is crumbling dangerously, the roof leaks, the cross on the spire has broken off, parts need to be renovated or restored, and the electrical systems from the 1960s are dilapidated. “In turbulent times such as these, where so many things we were sure of are changing, the church is a constant and a refuge for many. And the place where people meet is, logically, the church” says Gerald Unger. Hence, this place should be in an appropriate condition to spend time together in a pleasant atmosphere. The donation from GOK is supposed to make a contribution to this.

For more than twenty years already, GOK refrains from Christmas presents for business partners and donates each year to social projects in the local area.
