In the Christmas Season the family-owned company donated a total of 10,000 Euros. Two sports clubs from the local area were each happy to receive half of this sum: SC Marktbreit and TV Ochsenfurt. The donation will be used to finance the floodlight system and the promotion of child and youth work.
Founded in Ochsenfurt, the company has now been located in Marktbreit for many years. "In view of this, it was obvious to give the donations this year to clubs from these places," says Mr. Gerald Unger, Managing Director at GOK. Together with the owner family Kleine he handed over the donation cheques to SC Marktbreit and TV Ochsenfurt during a ceremony. This donation is intended to show how important regional commitment is to GOK - among other things because Marktbreit is the only company’s location and the majority of employees come from within a 20 kilometre radius of Marktbreit.
While SC Marktbreit will refurbish their floodlight system on the sports ground, at TV Ochsenfurt the money goes directly into child and youth work. Dieter Kleine, Owner and Managing Director of the family-owned company, explains why the decision was taken in favour of two sports clubs: "Sport is still an important part of our society. It strengthens our community and has an enormous integrative effect."
“Regional charity" is a tradition with GOK. For almost 20 years now, the manufacturer of regulators, valves and fittings has refrained from giving gifts to business partners and prefers to promote its home region.
